Real Madrid makes to the top of the list for the first time in 9 years while Barcelona takes over Manchester United in the second position. 1. Real Madrid
Spanish club Real Madrid ranks first on the list of Top 10 richest football clubs in terms of revenue with annual turnover of $675 million and Total value of $3,440 million. According to The Guardian report, 41% of their income comes from commercial deals, with the aforementioned TV rights deal presenting them €140 million.

Barcelona have surpassed Manchester United in the past nine years with an annual turnover of $627 million and Total value of $3,200 million, the reason being that they and Real Madrid negotiate their own TV rights deals in Spain. As per the CNN reports, the two Spanish clubs make 50% of the TV revenue between them, splitting the other 50% between the rest of the league.

Manchester United is an English professional football club that dominated the rich list for 9 consecutive years. Their value has been dropped by a disappointing season according to a study by consultancy Brand Finance. They ranked second on the last year’s list ahead of Barcelona.
