Over past couple of decades, shows like Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, have produced a number of fancy and expensive lingerie sets. But some of them can be listed as the most expensive ones ever made. Some of them are creation of pure extravagancy, while others are valued for their association with celebrities who wore them, and events in some cases. Top contenders are not meant to be worn except fashion shows as they are ruby-and-diamond encrusted. Most expensive means minimal design, which is inevitable when making lingerie sets from gems and gold. From fashion shows to auctions, here are 10 most expensive sets of lingerie that will cost you a fortune to own.
A diamond bikini was seen in 2012 show. Molly Sims modeled it and was designed by Susan Rosen in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The bikini is estimated worth $30 million and with such a minimal design component, it’s really expensive for a lingerie shopping.
In 2000, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show featured Gisele Bundchen’s ruby-and-diamond-encrusted bra and underwear. This piece of lingerie was valued at $15 million. It held the record for the most expensive lingerie until 2000.

While you might not be expecting Bollywood in this list, it’s true Malaika Arora had worn a $1 million ORRA diamond bustier that was designed by Anamika Khanna. We hope, it’s properly lined because it looks tight and rubbing soft skin against the hardest material in the world is pretty harsh, no matter how expensive it is.
Yellow gold lingerie was showcased at a lingerie show in Shenyang City, in northern China. The set was valued at more than $26,000. It was on display for three weeks and had taken over four months to complete. Sadly, it failed to attract any buyer, maybe because it wasn’t worn by a celebrity.
This $20,000 chastity belt was made by jeweler Uwe Koetter for a private client in South Africa. It had gold, pearl and diamonds. There is a small lock too. Despite all that gold and diamond stuff, it was seen as weird piece of work. Cosmopolitan calls it “truly the worst gift ever.”
This regular negligee is made of normal material and does not feature any extravagant component, still it has made to this list. It sounds ridiculous but a floor-length black negligee that Monica Lewinsky had submitted as evidence of her physical relations with Bill Clinton was auctioned for over $12,000. It was a part of 33-piece collection of “memorabilia of evidences.”
Among most expensive pre-worn celebrity lingerie, a red La Perla lingerie set was bought by an anonymous bidder for $7,950. Kylie Minogue modeled for the set and it looked better than what we saw so far. The auction was conducted to benefit Minogue’s StudyVox charity.
