The deputy Supreme commander of the UAE Armed forces and also the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spent $45 million on his wedding to Princess Salama. This was back in the year 1981. Today, it would be equal to a $100 million. He had a stadium seating 20,000 built for this. The wedding was held for seven days. The prince paid a visit to all the towns in the emirate and fed all of them. Twenty bejeweled camels were used to deliver wedding gifts to the bride.
