Apple Cider Vinegar

It contains malic acid which is greatly beneficial in relieving constipation. There are many ways to use apple cider vinegar to relieve constipation. One way is by adding a little bit of ACV to a cup of warm water, mixing a little bit of honey and drinking it. You have to do this every day before having breakfast and around half an hour before going to bed. Another way is to boil flaxseeds in water, strain the water, add ACV to it and drink it regularly.

Baking Soda

Baking Soda is greatly beneficial in getting rid of excess air from your body, thereby relieving stomach ache, gas and bloating. It also neutralizes the acids in the stomach, making it easier for the waste in our body to pass through the small intestines. Moreover, it functions as a laxative, making it less painful to pass stool. On the whole, it is very efficient in cleaning the colon. Take a glass of warm water and add a tablespoon of baking soda to it, stirring it until it dissolves. Drink this every day on an empty stomach and also before you go to bed. You can also add apple cider vinegar to this solution.


Raisins contain a lot of fiber and give the stool the right consistency to pass through the large intestine, the colon and the rectum. They also contain tartaric acid which is helpful in getting rid of the waste and other toxic impurities from the colon. Raisins are laxatives too, helping stool pass out easily. Also, they have no side effects. After each meal, consume a handful of raisins. This will help the digestion process. You can also include raisins in your other baked items. Another way is to soak raisins in water overnight and consume them on an empty stomach the next morning, along with the water they’re soaked in. do this every day.



Ginger, with its various benefits, acts as a natural laxative, enhancing bowel movement. It contains adequate amounts of fiber, helpful in softening the stool. It also helps in strengthening the digestive system. This is thanks to the Vitamin B present in it. Take a ginger root and peel it. Cut this into little pieces chew them.
